Air India (AI), one of the oldest and largest airlines of India, today holds pride in its vast network, spread all over the world. Air India offers passenger and cargo services to more than 140 domestic and international destinations. Being India’s oldest and largest airlines, Air India is Asia’s 16th largest airline. Air India’s corporate office is situated at the Air India Building at Nariman Point in South Mumbai.
Delhi and Mumbai are the two main domestic hubs of Air India. Frankfurt acts as an international hub for Air India, with London as its main focus city.
With the alignment of Air India and Indian Airlines resources, Air India has now become a part of National Aviation Corporation of India Ltd along with two of their subsidiaries, i.e. Air India Express and Alliance Air.
Fleet
Air India’s fleet consists of a total of stupendous 149 passenger planes, out of which 114 are Narrow Body and 35 are Wide Body Planes. Plus, it all also has 10 freight careers. Most of the aircrafts are used by Air India itself; however, some of them have been leased out too.
