
The national carrier of The United Kingdom, British Airways (BA) is the largest airline of the UK. It’s based at London Heathrow Airport in London, England. With its headquarters at Waterside, Harmondsworth in the London Borough of Hillingdon, British Airways is the result of nationalization of two London based airlines – British European Airways and British Overseas Airways.
Fleet
British Airways fleet includes Boeing 737, Boeing 747-400, Boeing 757, Boeing 767 and Boeing 777. To meet its needs the airlines is enhancing its fleet day by day and presently, the airline’s long haul fleet consists of Boeing 747-400 amounting to 57 overall.
Other airplanes included in the fleet of British Airways is Boeings like737 – 400 (19), Boeing 767 – 300 ER (21), Boeing 747 – 400 (57), Boeing 777 – 200 ER (43) and others besides the Airbus A318 (2), Airbus A320-200 (40), Airbus A319 (33), and Airbus A321-200 (11). Currently, British Airways fleet comprises of 228 aircrafts.
