Emirates Airline (EK), known as Emirates worldwide, is Dubai’s national airline. A subsidiary of Emirates Group, Emirates Airlines ranks ninth in the world of airlines in terms of international passenger carried.

The airline has been honored with more than 300 international awards for excellence since its beginning in the year 1985. Emirates Airlines will take you to over 100 destinations in Asia, Europe, North America, Africa and The Middle East.

Based at Dubai International Airport, the airline has been awarded as the biggest airline in the Middle East in terms of passenger carried, revenue and fleet size.

Fleet

Emirates Airlines fleet include over 137 aircrafts, which fly to over 100 destinations in 60 countries across the globe. Almost 700 Emirates depart Dubai each week on their way to destinations across the world. Its fleet consists of competitive aircrafts like The Emirates A380, Airbus A330-200, Airbus A340-500, Airbus A340-300, Boeing 777-200LR, Boeing 777-300, Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 777-200.

Awards & Recognition

Emirates won the Pax International Magazine Readership Awards for the Outstanding

Food Service by a Carrier Middle East 2009.

OAG Airline Industry Awards named it the Best Airline Based in the Middle East/Indian Sub-Continent.

Emirates Airline was named the ninth best Airline of the Year in 2007 by Skytrax.

Skytrax also named Emirates the Airline of the Year in both 2001 and in 2002.
