
Sri Lankan Airlines Limited is the flag carrier of Sri Lanka. Previously, it was known as Air Lanka. Its fleet comprises of 13 aircrafts which fly to various destinations in Asia and Europe. With its base at the Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport, the airline does not form a part a of any airline alliance but holds a partnership with Emirates Airlines which owns about 43.6 percent stake. This partnership got expired in March, 2001.
Fleet
Till date, Sri Lankan Airlines fleet consists of 13 airplanes, all of them Airbus. These include the Airbus A320-200, Airbus A340-300, Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 767-300 ER (Wet Leased until 8th September 2010).
