Thai Airways

Thai Airways, national carrier of Thailand, operates out of its hub at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Thai Airways is the largest airline of Thailand. It operates regional, domestic and international flights from its home base in Bangkok to almost all the major destinations within Thailand and around the world. With its headquarters in Bangkok’s Chatuchak District, it holds nearly 39% shares of Nok Air (Low cost Bangkok based carrier). Thai Airlines fleet includes 99 aircrafts, which covers 71 destinations in 34 countries. Thai Airways offers some of the longest non-stop flights from Bangkok to New York. Awarded by Skytrax as ‘World’s Best Cabin Staff', Thai Airlines is simply marvelous when it comes to rendering quality services.

Fleet
At Present, Thai Airways includes nearly 99 aircrafts, most of them wide-bodied models. These aircrafts include, Boeing 737-400 (9), Boeing 747-400 (12), Boeing 747-400 (6), Boeing 777-300 (6), Boeing 777-200ER (6), Boeing 777-200 (8), Boeing 777-300ER (3), Airbus 330-300 (12), Airbus 340-500 (4), Airbus 330-300 (8), Airbus 340-600 (6), Airbus 300-600 (10), Airbus 300-600 (5), Airbus 300-600 (2), and ATR-72 (2). Among them, three Boeing 737-400 have been leased out to Nok Air while eight Airbus 330-300 are going to be the latest possessions of Thai Airways.

Awards & Recognition

• Thai Airways International was awarded 'Worlds Best Cabin Staff’ and ‘The Best Airline in the World' by Skytrax in 2006.
• In 2007, it was ranked second in the 'Airline of the Year' category.
• The first class lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok by Thai Airways was awarded ‘World's Best First Class Lounge’ by Skytrax in 2009.
• Thai Airways International was also awarded for its excellent in-flight hygiene measures by the World Health Organization.
